The selection

The selection of the Piasentina stone, a commitment to the environment and to the people who work there all year round and in every climatic situation.

In order to offer quality products, already in the quarry, our expert and attentive operators strive to identify inclusions or cracks in the material; a careful selection that takes place immediately after the extraction. Both the visual and auditory steps are entrusted to the expert quarrymen who analyse and hit the blocks of the Piasentina stone.

Following the selection, the blocks of Piasentina stone are then divided in three types: fine-grained, medium-grained and coarse, the blocks are transported to the laboratory for subsequent processing.
